What struck me about this image was the blue sky and how it changes so drastically in this photograph. In the background of the image, the sky is very close to white, a white that plays with the idea of looking more blue than white. As my eyes find their way across the picture the color of blue changes too. The blue goes from white, to light blue to blue to dark blue, gray blue, black blue, to black. While the main focus is intended to be the rock formations I unfortunately or fortunately find the background just as interesting. The shadows on the rocks create dimension and detail, and lines that provide a good contrast against the ever changing blue background.
