Seaside at Sunset

I really enjoy the amount of black and shadows in this photo. The blacks stand out against the grey that is reflective and metallic looking giving the entire photo a very vintage feel for some reason. The dark and overpowering cloud in the foreground of the image is very intimidating and makes me feel a little frightened until I look at the white sun and its effect on the rest of the image. The shiny grey water seems to go on forever and the pier that jets out into it seems like an intruder or the most opposite kind. It is an extreme of the space it consumes and works well creating a pleasing picture that is composed well.
