This vintage picture is a good and pretty standard example of how shadows, expecially through window can reveal so much about a picture and capture the interest of its audience. The cops standing in the center of the pool of light obviously has a lot of attention drawn to them, to have such opposing images and colors against one another create a focal point and area of interest. They world behind the two pool of light is hard to make out, and become less important and less of what the photo is about. The photo defiently concerns opposites and contrasting aspects of what is brilliant and breathtaking in a photo.
