Downtown Las Vegas, the sky illuminated by neon signs and just looking down the strip I seek the two extreme opposites of the spectrum. I see pure black but I also see bright, intense color that finds its way into to black and controls it until the black dominates it and the color cannot stand on its own any longer. There is such a variety of color on ste strip that one is able to see and experience that upon first glance, much is lost. In this picture the purple and yellow dominate and catch the attention of my eyes. I primarly see the yellows while much of the deeper, darker colors get taken over. I am not quite sure why purple and yellow are really the primary colors I can pick out in this picture. Purple is such a deep color that I am suprised it can stand out that well in the dark, especially against yellow.
